PLOT:

via Hallmark: The epic of Jason Stevens' life carries on. Having dealt with the tragedies and perils of his own family, he must try to help a friend along a similar journey. This touching conclusion shows that if we learn something, we change our own life. And when we teach something, we change another's life. But when we teach people to teach, we change the world.

  1. Can't wait!! Love this series of movies!

  2. Why did they move all the good heartfelt movies over to their other channel that's not available to everyone while leaving all their cheesy more lazily written productions on the main channel?

I like the movies on the main channel. That's the channel I gravitate to more than the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel, but if something I like moves over to HMM and off of the main channel, then I will follow it over to HMM.

They are going for a certain tone on the main channel and a certain tone on the Movies & Mysteries Channel. Sometimes there might be a more serious movie on the main channel, and a more lighthearted movie on HMM, but for the most part the tones are different on each channel.

Hallmark wants people to tune in to Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. They're a business. I can't fault them for that. It's one thing if people can't get the HMM channel because their cable or satellite provider doesn't provide it. But it's another thing if people are choosing to not get HMM for whatever reason and still expecting Hallmark to adjust their programming accordingly. Hallmark is trying to entice the people who are actively choosing to not get HMM into getting HMM. If they put all of their movies on one channel, not only will it confuse the tones they are going for on each channel, but then it would give people no reason to tune in to HMM.

There is no point in having a second channel if they are going to pile everything onto the main channel, and apparently they want to have a second channel so they have to make some things exclusive to it to lure in the viewers.

    1. They aren't going to get people to purchase the second channel if they keep only showing on type of movie on the first channel because people will assume they play the same types on the second channel. Hallmark needs to adjust their programming back. It was only last year they started playing the light movies on the main channel and serious ones on the other channel. For years they had a mix of both. Maybe that's why their ratings for last year weren't as good as the year before. People are starting to change the channel and discover the other channels that play similar type movies that they want to see where they don't have to pay more.

    2. And that's wonderful for you however many others think differently. If you notice alot more people have been talking about Hallmark playing a variety of different movies and demanding they add minorities into the mix as leads not just side characters or extras

I'm sorry if you guys don't like it. That's between you and Hallmark. Right now, that's the way it is. It doesn't matter what they did for years. They are doing something different right now -- which may work and may not work. But it's any network's right to do what they want to do until it doesn't work for them anymore.

It gets really tiresome for the actual fans of Hallmark's content to keep reading complaints from people who choose to not to pay for a channel and then expect Hallmark to adjust and accommodate them accordingly. You either choose to pay for the channel or you don't. Simple as that. If you don't have the option to get the other channel, then that is an issue between you and your cable or satellite provider.

Most of us come to Net's wonderful site -- and have been coming here for a while -- to talk about the movies we enjoy or to learn about what's in the works for the channels we watch. This is not a complaint forum or a forum for arguing, and it gets really tedious to keep reading the same complaints.

It seems like every site I go to there is someone (probably the same people who choose to remain "anonymous") who wants to argue, or try to prove me wrong about something, or whatever. I am just coming to these places to talk about/learn about the movies I enjoy -- because I am a fan. The constant negativity is a downer.

So I will stay off of this site for a while until the complainers wander off somewhere else.

  4. I never saw the first two, are they re-airing them first?

    1. Yes! They're airing the first two right before the new one. So it'll be a marathon of the trilogy tonight. I can't wait to watch them! I've seen the first two many times and have enjoyed them tremendously.

I enjoy both channels tremendously and am glad Hallmark has more than one option for those of us who really enjoy their programming. The problem I have with the main channel is that all week long, all you get are the same re-runs of the same shows that Hallmark has been airing on a loop for years. Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has movies on every single day. Not all day long, but still every day. I enjoy tuning in and watching the many new detective series that they're producing. They've really added a lot of original content to the channel which my family really enjoys. I don't mind paying for a channel that is working hard on new content and is making paying for the channel worthwhile.

    1. I love both stations, too, Susan... but like you I would love to see more movies on the Hallmark Channel during the week. The one nightly weekday movie for Countdown to Valentine's Day has been great. Sure wish they would continue that! It's also wonderful to hear you also love HMM! I love the all day movies on there, too, and all the great mysteries! So glad, you do, too!!!

  7. I’ve never seen the spirit of generosity showcased as well as it is in The Ultimate Legacy, the story of an heir to a rich estate earning his reward through the spreading of very specific gifts. It’s one of the most inspiring movies I have ever seen, and I would highly recommend it for children of all ages!
